Enable Vista / Windows 7 to be seen on network.

Enable XP and Server 2003 to see Vista / Win 7 computers on the network.

This procedure needs to be completed on each Vista / Win 7 computer you wish to be seen on the network.

1. Start / Windows Button

2. Control Panel

3. System / Security - click on Name

3. Administrative Tools - click on Name

4. Services - double click

5. Find - FUNCTION DISCOVERY RESOURCE PUBLICATION

6. Set to Automatic, and Start Service.

This service enables the windows 7 device to be seen by XP and Server 2003 systems.

A few minutes after setting this feature - your Windows 7 / Vista Computer should become visible on the computer network.
